5 Killed in Motorcycle Accident
A truck swerves into a group of motorcycles in La Union on Thursday, killing 4. A fifth person dies after their motorcycle crashes into a tree. BAGUIO, Philippines – Five people died in two separate motorcycle crashes in Tarlac and La Union over the holy week. On Thursday Morning, April 18, in San Isidro, Paniqui, Tarlac, an Isuzu Wing Van on its way to Manila struck a group of motorcycle riders from Pampanga heading to the Our Lady of Manaoag Shrine. The following were killed in the collision: R.G.H, 32 A.S.C, 28 M.L.M, 21 C.S, 16 The group from Macabebe, Pampanga always made their pilgrimage to Manaoag during the Holy Week. Truck driver Andres Recto Bobis, 53, was detained by the Paniqui police. He claimed to have swerved a bit because he was sleepy. |

In the vid it looked like there was still room to get past the truck as it was only slightly over the center line. If it veered hard to its left at the last second, as seems to have been the case, one must wonder if that was intentional. Or, perhaps, the driver had a heart attack or some such medical disaster?

Happened last thursday. maundy thursday 2019. Group of riders were annihilated when a truck blew a tire and swerved to the opposite lane and smashed several riders. This video was taken from helmet cam of one of the victims. Several helmet cam videos from different victim riders of this incident went out but was taken down quickly. Ill add more if i find copies of the videos. Anybody who finds them or have them already, please post it in this thread. Incident is still being investigated. Sorry for the poor video quality |
