well as an emt, your job is to prevent things like this from causing death, so perhaps this *isn't* the site for you after all. everyone deals with death in different ways. some of us have an interest in the human mind, body, and the brutal reality of death, and each of us interprets that reality differently. having spent more than half my life in the US, i can honestly say Americans are shielded from the realities of death and war: quite unlike other countries, they never see the bodies of their dead in the streets or on the evening news. things like looking at pictures of the dead allow them to come to terms with what death, and therefore life, are all about. now, to ask if one would like to see their own mum's pictures among those on this site infers that one has a good relationship with or view of their mum. i've got to agree with the previous poster, my mum's a drug addict and a horrible person, she deserves what's coming to her and i wouldn't mind one bit if her picture was on here and someone was laughing about it. accept that people are different and deal with things differently. but if you've come round to give us some shpeil about how sick we are, or how mean we are, kindly show yourself the door and make your way out. we may be an odd group, but the common interest and commraderie found here are surely more beneficial to us all than your harsh words. stick to your anatomy books or intern with a coroner's office if you can't stand the strange, twisted reality of human nature and our desire to marvel at it. |

Nope, the sex drive can over power even self preservation - look at all the dumb risks people take to get off...that's why I laugh at people who think just telling their teen kids they should wait is gonna really make any difference - not matter what the kid thinks before they start making out, once it gets hot and heavy, all of that shit goes right outta their head...that's why the teen prego rate is now highest amongst abstinance only kids...they aren't prepared when mother nature takes over...
