Its messed up that the companies going there to help build infrastructure, need to be so protected. But after chopping a few contractors heads off they don't take many chances. I wouldn't either.

Sorry niknik.... i´m n ol idiot - born 1955 and many years i work with my dogs for the Red Cross, searching survivors after earthquakes... also in Afghanistan, Iran n Irak etc... We work hand in hand with local authorities, with damn warlords and - yes ... also with Taliban and other "stupid People" - never with Blackwater-Soldiers. Blackwater protect ??? - I say no !!! I totaly agree with ROYALBOY - Blackwater are Criminals, only there to do "dirty Jobs" for the US-Government - not to protect Helpers. You can believe... i know these Guys |

the then-blackwater mercs were not legit military units , so i'll assume they don't fall under us ucmj and geneva conventions. therefore cannot be treated as you would a pow. they were there for the money, and not ideals unlike both the coalition forces and them islamic foot soldiers.
