Alleged Leader of Colombian Criminal Gang Was Murdered
In the municipality of Sabanagrande, a 29-year-old woman, L.D.R.D., alias 'La Mona', was shot four times by motorcycle-riding sicario while she was grooming her nails outside of her house. L. was the alleged head of the eastern branch of the criminal gang 'Los Costeños", and in May 2022, she was arrested based on those accusations. She was discovered carrying a .38-caliber revolver, 40 extortion pamphlets, and more than 100 doses of cocaine. Reportedly, she had been released from prison only a day before her death.  ·  · |

Don't mislead buddy. Mona means female blondie. Like in Mexico where they call each other "güero" (blond), in Colombia especially in Medellin and north parts mono means blonde (it means also a monkey, but usually it's used to refer skin color). |
