I hate when stuff happens to kids. I live under the firm belief that anyone under 10 should never have anything bad happen to them. Childhood is so short, and so often life is horrific enough just living it. My prayers go out to the family of that little girl.

Notice how the legs are bandaged to secrete the damage? notice also, that her hands & head are also bandaged. I have no doubt that she was alive when attacked, as she would have used her hands to fend them off, but at the same time she would've had to have drawn her head down to the waters surface to get low enough to fend off the piranhas attacking her feet, and so, exposing her throat to water level; no way (IMO) did she drown.
