6 Women 2 Men Dead After Collision with Tanker Truck
Saturday, April 2nd Eight dead after an accident involving a tanker truck and a vehicle on BR 232. Six women and two men died at the scene. The only survivor was the truck driver who suffered minor injuries to leg and head. According to federal highway police, the trucker was driving at a very high speed when the accident occurred. The tragedy occurred at around 3:30 this Saturday (02) , after the entrance of the city of Tacaimbó, and resulted in the death of eight people traveling in a Toyota pickup Prada. They returned home and the car crashed head-on into a tanker truck carrying fuel which followed in the opposite direction. The victims who died in the accident are: the driver of the car, Jefferson, 36 and passengers Magnolia 51, Joseilda 23, Margarete 52, Adriana 19, Tiago 19, Juliana 18, and Maria 43, all occupants of the truck. The agent Altair Lima said that the fatal victims were traveling in the car and possibly the driver dozed off, landed on the opposite lane and collided withe the truck. the truck driver injured one leg and was taken to a hospital for a breathalyzer test Dr. Jose Luzia, who was on duty at the police station, went to the site, followed all the work of the removal of the bodies from the wreckage and found that a few meters from the crash site there was a carcass of a horse that died run over and also pointed out that although it is a straight, many accidents occur on site, due to high speed of some drivers.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

I would have imagined their bodies to be completely mangled coming out of that car. They all look to have severe head injuries though.

Was the truck driver in his correct lane, I wonder? Eight people in that SUV, doesn't look like a big one. Looks like they were going out for the night, poor souls.  |
