51 Y/o Utah Man Commits Suicide by Shotgun
I know this is a repost on a classic set that's been floating around here almost since DR began but I did some digging of my own on this photo set and wound up with some interesting, previously unknown information. I will only identify the deceased by his first name on here, for fear of risking another Porsche Girl type situation. His name was Dee, he was 51 years old and a resident of Orem, Utah. He was struggling with heroin addiction and checked into a recovery program to get help, to little avail. On May 2, 2008, he parked his pick-up truck (yes, that's a truck, albeit a covered truck) at the parking lot of the church where a recovery session was to be held that same day. Deciding that he had no will to proceed with his life going this way, he took his 12 Gauge and put a bullet in his mouth, effectively ending it all--for good. His wife had passed away some time prior to the incident, and that's what caused his downward spiral into addiction, his hunger for heroin and his ultimate defeat at the hands of his addiction. I wouldn't know. Nothing in the info I unearthed told me anything regarding the brush. Maybe he just wanted to "brush it off" but decided against it.

I am one of those who love the details, I just wanted to 'connect' the posts is all. I wouldn't have bothered except that I actually just saw the initial post a couple days ago while going through stuff I hadn't seen before. I love to see the results when people actually do the research! Thanks again for posting the additional pictures and the back story. :) |
