In the early morning of monday (24/9) police was called to a Favela, because a woman was found dead, stabbed with a knife.

According to her sister, the 30 years old woman lived in the slum, because she was a drug addict.

There were no info on reason (drugs would be a good guess, I think) or any suspect.

A couple of the pics look a bit strange in the lower right corner, because an automated tool is used.

the dead person above is a female. That may be a lawnmower shed to you, but that was a home to others.I only hope that her pain and struggles have ended.

What does "favela", mean? I realize that this may be a dumb question, but please be gentle.

A favela is the term for a shanty town in Brazil, most often within urban areas.

So if someone tells you "Darlin', you look favelas!" it really means you look like crap.
