It fascinates me how the person's face becomes unrecognizable once that person dies. Even if there was no trauma to the head, it saddens me how we are always stuck with ugly dead faces. I mean come on, show me some sleeping beauties.

The few dead people I have seen, that I knew in life, I was quite shocked by how their appearance changed once they were dead. There must be a soul, because they truly looked like an empty shell, left behind. Their essence was gone, and it was just a husk left.
Has anyone else noticed this?

The Disney "Sleeping Beauty" is sanitized, I prefer the medieval version of the story, here it is from WIKI:
