our local gangster action movies have a favorite line that became famous in the old days. something like this... " If you don't give what we want, tomorrow you will be covered by newspapers." since it was a common practice here to cover any dead people in view with any paper at hand or cardboard boxes. anything to hide them from plain sight until the authorities arrive. still done here till now.

drama in a third-world country, the underbelly of the beast, seems all the more sordid. These people seem like they're a century behind the civilized world.
