Helmet Did Not Save This Guy
Motorcycle accident victim. Not sure how he crashed but must of been going pretty fast to crack your helmet like that. |

Re: Helmet Did Not Save This Guy
Not all hemets are quality constructed and crash tested. Look for the "DOT" certified label. Foriegn countries may still encounter counterfeits. I doubt if safety is much of a concern to them.

Re: Helmet Did Not Save This Guy
The only thing I can think is that it got hit by a landscaping truck.

Re: Helmet Did Not Save This Guy
Oh, you mean the DOT I stole & put on my little, plastic, spiked German helmet? I'm trying to figure out this happened. All I can think of is he was going Mach 1 & wrenched to bike to start his slide, only it hit an obstacle, either vegetation or vehicle, breaking the bike & "folding it" in half as he was catapulted at an angle down to the pavement, hitting head first. As it hit the ground (or just due to said impact with obstacle,) the front fascia of the bike broke off. At that speed in that scenario with that impact, I doubt anything would've saved him. Even leathers & armor (which he didn't have) only work if you can slide. |

Re: Helmet Did Not Save This Guy
There's clearly another rider on the right side of the road holding his (still-helmeted) head in despair. Looks like a skid mark on the left that has the crowd's attention (more than the body! I don't see any other vegetation around. So maybe they were driving like assholes, weaving in-&-out. There's a branch in the road (maybe from a landscaping truck! Don't know; just my thoughts. |
