It is always difficult (to me at least) to get much meaning out of Cambodian articles, but in this case there were so many different texts to combine that I feel reasonably sure about the info.

On last Thursday (11th) the 19 (some say 18) years old woman was found strangled in the apartment she shared with her 41 years old husband. He is a comedian and seems to be something of a celebrity - it is more him than the poor woman, who made the story big.

She was his second wife. I don't think he had two at a time, so perhaps he just had changed to a younger model, not so long ago, if I got it right.

But back to the story: She had been strangled with the cord from an electric iron, wrapped in a blanket and pulled out in the bathroom, where she was found.

Who did it? I am not quite sure if he has admitted, but her 20 years old step son is suspect and arrested.

The alive images are first the strangled woman, then the husband and the last three the suspect.

He confessed.
His motives: no money to buy drugs (cannabis) so he robbed the victim of her jewelry and money. The 17-year-old suspect also tried to rape the victim (while his own girlfriend was at work) and killed her to keep her from reporting the rape.

After the rape-murder and after his girlfriend arrived back home he told her that he killed his stepmother because of a conflict.

Both fled to the house of the killer's mother in law. The next day they sold/pawned the victim's belongings. Both 17 year old suspects were arrested.
