Re: 19 Y/o Strangled with Panty Hose
I worked with a kid that had taken her to a prom dance. I still have one of the homemade missing signs that were posted around The Woodlands (I live here). That was weird seeing this post!!!

Re: 19 Y/o Strangled with Panty Hose
That was a big question raised by the Defense during the initial trial. If I recall (been a while since I read all of the trial transcripts), they eventually decided that the date was accurate, but that the air and ground temperature had been cold enough that year (it was December, remember) to keep her fairly well-preserved. Still not sure what kept the coyotes and birds off of her, though. There was a lot of fishy shit about this case. Which is largely why he hasn't been executed yet. And rightly so. If there is ANY doubt raised whatsoever, in terms of DNA testing, then an execution should be stayed. |

Re: 19 Y/o Strangled with Panty Hose
Looking at the temps for Montgomery County, Tx for December looks like it was in the 60's on December 8th, then 50's until late December when it dropped into the high 30's. I live here so I've seen 80 degrees Christmas Day. So yea it's possible that the date is correct but as you said, that area of the National Forrest has a lot of critters running around and none got to her. What I have read about the courts not wanting to do further DNA testing puzzles me. Like you said a lot of that is really fishy and I hope they find out the truth. Oh well I remember the case since it was all over the news and I hope that justice is served. |
