Re: 177 Bodies Found in Tamaulipas
haha you do not need a permit, but if any officials see you with it they will beat your ass. Army will beat your ass on the spot. (Cannot pay these off.) Local police will take you to jail. (these can be payed off) State and federal will humiliate you and take you to jail as well. (can be payed off as well if they are corrupt enough and you know right people) From my experience |

Re: 177 Bodies Found in Tamaulipas
Oh well from my experience when I was stopped at an army check point, the soldiers called me jefe and asked for work because they were only getting payed 150 a week, they were even willing to take their rifles with them. I also have bought the mexican border patrol when I tried passing on a saturday when the weigh station was closed. They called the Officer in charge and I tried getting slick with him and he said That I am not in charge right now that this was his area and I better listen. So we finally agreed on 800 dollars. He gave me a number that was written on a pieace of paper to give to the other checkpoints and soldiers on the way to my location, He also garuanteed that no one would bother me on the road and sure enough it was a smooth ride. True story. |

Re: 177 Bodies Found in Tamaulipas
In the city of Jimenez I have personally witness a man dressed in black fatigues walking with what appered to be a AR-15 on the side walk at night with a blank and determined look on his face an the police did not tell him anything.

Yea, like I said, you can pay off police, and he was probably on patrol waiting for someone and they payed off police. I posted you can have a gun but a lot of times they will stop you and make you pay them, like you did :p. That's not the case with higher ranking State/Federal and army though, as for those guys that work at the checkpoints, they are just like police. Not really anything to worry about with them :p.

Re: 177 Bodies Found in Tamaulipas
Yeah your right about the man in the black fatigues. But what about the Mexican border patrol that I had to bribe because the assumed I was carrying money for a drug lord and threatend to destroy my brand new truck and lock me up.
