177 Bodies Found in Tamaulipas

The Attorney General's office in Tamaulipas, announced that so far have found 177 bodies in narcofosas the state, of which 122 are related to the disappearance of passengers on buses, the other 55 appeared to take longer buried.

"122 bodies may be linked to the research being conducted on private passenger of freedom and further 55 bodies by its temporality is not related to that investigation, authorities confirmed.

However, more research narcofosas in San Fernando and other nearby towns are, as authorities say it is very likely that in coming days the number of bodies found to increase.

Complete the following statement:

The Attorney General of State reports that during the first three weeks of April, where in coordination with federal authorities participated in the operation to investigate the location of clandestine graves, we derive the following results:

Between 1 and April 7 ten graves were located, eight of them in the Gap El Arenal and two in the Colonia Américo Villarreal de San Fernando, which was extracted from the bodies of 72 people who may be related to the investigations initiated for the acts of deprivation of liberty to passengers on public transportation units.

Between 10 and 12 April in the same gap El Arenal, four unmarked graves were located, of which 50 bodies were extracted, which also could be related to the investigations referred to, noting that the fourth pit under 43 bodies.

The Attorney General also notes that at various times they found remains of bodies as experts, estimates are for people who were deprived of living in a period longer than one month, so that the bodies are not related to the people traveling in public transport units.

Specifically stated that on April 8 were found 23 bodies, of these 19 were found in 12 graves and four bodies at ground level. Nine of the graves were located near the point known as The Norias, two in the Gap El Arenal and one in the Ejido San Vicente, of the bones at ground level, three were found in the Ejido Francisco Villa and one in the Ejido Las Norias.

Also on April 14 at the Gap El Arenal three graves were found, of which 21 bodies were removed.

On April 15 were located in the municipal of San Fernando, in an area located behind the cemetery, two graves of the five bodies that were extracted.

Finally on April 19 at the Gap El Arenal is located three graves, of which six bodies were removed.

Attorney concludes that to date, 122 bodies may be linked to the research being conducted on private passenger of freedom and 55 additional bodies for its timing are not related to the investigation.

Attorney noted that during the period from 14 to 20 April, the Bureau installed for the Care of Relatives of Disappeared Persons, recorded that 345 people attended, 85 calls were received, 237 complaints and 280 had provided samples for examination practice DNA that contributes to the identification of bodies.

In the offices of the state Attorney own Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa, Matamoros, Tampico and Victoria lanes were installed tables Care Parents of Disappeared Persons. These involve, in addition to the state agency personnel, employees of the Institute of Public Defense to provide legal counsel and representatives of the Human Rights Commission of the State, in order to assist those seeking information, want to lodge a complaint or request a comparison of DNA samples.

This authority will continue to deploy the tasks incumbent upon it to investigate the criminal acts of their knowledge, and collaborate on tasks that require the federal authorities and, above all, to meet relatives of victims of such crimes.


Also reported that elements of the Federal Investigation Agency and the Mexican Army, managed to capture Joel Resendiz Moreno, who worked as an agent of the Municipal Police of San Fernando, Tamaulipas.

Joel has been involved in the abduction of passengers hostage on a road of Tamaulipas, and the bodies found in San Fernando narcofosas.

In the official bulletin of the department, "It urges those who have been victims and the public that identifies Joel Resendiz Moreno as a participant in a crime, go to the authorities concerned to start the report. "
