view things from way back and the present and you'll see the difference. then, adults are more careful what they let kids do, theyre more carefull with dangerous things they own and kept them away from kids, and media still have a functioning censorhip. now a simple mtv for kids and young guys usually have violence at different levels. many teen music videos have scenes where they're killing or trying to kill someone or acting like doing suicide or self harm. seeing that every day makes younger generations think that those are cool things to do and its okay to do it since governments allow it on public viewing. Thats why there still is censorship warnings on some media broadcasts. But you need magnifying glass to find one that actually heed those warnings. When there's a "parental Guidance: on it, it doesnt mean tell your kids "hey dont watch" because they will soon as your back is turned. it means you let them watch but you be there to explain the things that looks different from a younger generation's view. |
