13 Law Enforcement Officers Killed in Ambush in Mexico
A massacre took place this Monday afternoon in Coyuca de Benítez, Guerrero state, when eleven police officers, head of public security A.A.L., and municipal police chief H.S.G. were riddled with bullets. The ambush was carried out in the village of El Papayo, about 30 miles northwest of Acapulco. A. was the initial target. When the gunmen opened fire, A. called in police reinforcements - they were killed with him. The threat in Coyuca de Benítez was not new. A.’s predecessor as public security chief resigned in December after an assassination attempt in which he was wounded. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador on Tuesday said he had ordered 300 national guard troops to the region. The attack Monday, he said at his daily news conference, was “very unfortunate.”              |

Well, they certainly could have been corrupt cops and probably were. Licensed terrorist, torturers, intimidators, enforcer, bribes, bullies, murderers. Oh, I thought we were talking about U.S. law enforcement. My mistake. |
