Okay everyone... She was born in America (Lake Jackson, Texas) and she was a Latina. She was killed by the president of her fan club and then Governor George W. Bush declared April 16 "Selena Day" in Texas. Now we got that out of the way, she wouldn't be much more than a brown stain on the mattress if it weren't for Jennifer Lopez depicting her in a movie.

Nah Selena Perez was working her way up the ladder quickly.Although I dont like her songs she was gaining serious followers throughout the states.Tragic loss as she did have a voice.Then it was silenced forever.As for Jennifer Lopez...I cant stand her..Just my opinion..

i disagree... i was never really a fan of either but it was huge news when she died. Really, JLO owes her fame to Selena, she got big AFTER doing that movie.
