Not so much the pain and the mental anguish but, imaine how long it took to cut the pipe and remove the seat. You would have to go slow so you didn't damge or move anything. As moving the pipe a 1/4 inch may cause something to rupture or cause bleeding. That would just suck ! Sitting there waiting.
Its a perfect example of why a good doctor has to be VERY level headed and calm in situations like this that arise. They freak out... You die!
