Venice, California, LAPD are hoping someone can identify a man caught on tape wanted in a violent purse snatching attempt.
The incident happened on Sept. 19 in Venice, California.
According to police, a man got out of a white van and approached a woman from behind as she was walking down the street and tried to grab her purse from under her arm.
After the victim refused to give up, the suspect violently threw her to the ground and punched her numerous times as she clutched her purse, dragging her into the street.
The suspect finally gave up, and ran into the alley where he got into a vehicle driven by his accomplice.
The victim suffered minor cuts and bruises to her eyes, shoulders and hips.
