CORPUS CHRISTI - An elderly woman was hit by a hit and run driver.

It happened on Harmon Street, near Agnes and Port. Police say the driver kept going after striking the woman.

Officers are searching for a black pickup and trying to get more details from witnesses.

The woman was taken to the hospital; she has some broken bones but is expected to be ok.

If you know anything that might help detectives track down the driver, call police.

Looks like they were pickin up illegals....and when the driver saw it was an old person - he decided to book it out of there when they tried to hop in the back of the truck

Police said the driver was described as a male between 30-40 years of age. He wore a tan straw cowboy hat. He was driving a black Chevrolet truck with chrome on the wheel wells and step sides.

The vehicle was low and had distinct chome flaring on its fenders. It also had large nerf bars and appeared to have low-profile tool box in its bed.
