Woman Stabbed Late at Night by Robber at Bus Station
Brazil, Leticia, 23, returned from work when she was attacked by a boy, inside a bus station platform. The crime occurred on July 27. She told that she was waiting for her mother at the station, as she used to do every day because of the time she came home from work, around midnight. However, on that day, the mother was late. "I was coming back from work, I'm a trainee at a musical that was playing at the Theater and as usual when i'm going home i stop at the bus station , where my mother is waiting for me so that I do not come back alone at dawn, "she said. The young woman reported that while waiting for her mother inside the station, two ladies and a boy disembarked of a bus. They left the station, but the boy remained on the scene. There was no one on the platform but the boy. It was 00:55, my mother was a little late but I was on my way, I was alone at the station, there was not even the access controller that usually stays overnight. Another bus arrived, coming from the opposite direction from which I came, two ladies and a fat boy, about 13/14 years old, came out. Leticia also said that she even thought that the boy was waiting for another bus. But then he came towards her and approached her near the entrance of the station. As the victim did not deliver the cell phone, the assailant used a knife that was hidden. She still begged for help, but ended up being stabbed in the face and head. When the boy came close to me, he stopped by my side, he said something that at first I did not understand and I did not pay much attention but after he repeated "are you there with the cell phone?". I had nothing in my hands then I replied "no," that's when he took a saw knife from his coat pocket and attacked me. First he tried to hit me in the chest but I had the backpack I carry for work in front of my body and he could not get me to stab me there. I was well glued to the entrance ratchet and as I dodged trying to defend myself, I started yelling for help, hoping that someone come out to rescue me. Leticia received seven stab wounds on her face and four on her head. Two bus passengers stcame back and rescued her, along with a man who lives next to the station. The boy fled without taking anything. "I was there, bleeding, crying and afraid that on the way he would find my mother and do something to her. One of the ladies lent me a towel to stanch the blood, the gentleman who heard me scream, came down to help me and called the emergency. It was the three of them who stayed with me until my mother arrived and the ambulance took care of me. |
