Dallas, March 29 2011. A woman fights but fails to keep her bag as she's dragged along a parking lot during a purse-snatching crime.
Dallas police search for 2 people seen on the cctv video.
Police have not identified the man and the woman in the video yet and asking for help of the public.
Video shows the couple driving to the lot in the 1800 block of Royal Lane, getting out and approaching Adriana Ibarra.
She is seen getting something out of the back seat of her car when she is attacked.
In an interview, Ibarra, 25, said she was getting ready to report to her second job. She cried as she questioned why she was attacked.
"I get so angry. 'Why me? What do I have?'
You know, I have nothing, why would they take my things?" she said.
Police said the man had a knife, and the man had a tire jack.
The woman removed a laptop from the trunk of Ibarra's car while the man struggles with Ibarra to get her purse.
"Some young male came up behind me with a knife and said, 'Get off the phone right now.
Give me your purse. Give me your phone,'" Ibarra said.
"I was screaming at the top of my lungs, and that's when he threatened to rape me."
Ibarra got dragged through the parking lot as she struggles to hold on to her bag.
"The whole time I was like, 'Just wait two minutes, one minute, one minute.
Just if you can get to the car, if you can honk, somebody will come. Somebody will come. Just wait. Just wait,'" Ibarra said.
The couple then got in a car and drove away.
Police said a third person may have been in the car, which was described as a maroon Nissan Ultima or Maxima.
Meanwhile, Ibarra said the attack itself in not what scares, it's the loss of peace of mind.
"I'm constantly watching, regardless if I'm in the best neighborhood," she said.
"I'm constantly watching, thinking, 'Could this person do something? Could this person?'
You know, that's why I'm mad, that's why I'm angry," she said.
