Washington Navy Yard Killer
One week after Aaron Alexis shot and killed 12 people at the Washington Navy Yard, video has emerged of him stalking around the premises toting a shotgun and pointing the firearm into various offices. Throughout the rampage, Alexis reportedly used a stolen Beretta 9mm semiautomatic pistol and a sawed-off Remington 870 Express 12-gauge shotgun (seen below in the closed-circuit video). No shots are fired in the surveillance video released to the public, but you can get a glimpse of the chaos as throngs of people attempt to flee the building just down the hall from where Alexis hides in an office door alcove. Alexis was killed by police an hour into the shooting spree. |

Re: Washington Navy Yard Killer
I agree completely. Of all the people that should be able to be trusted with firearms, the military should be at the top of the list. It is absolutely ridiculous that something like this can happen at a military installation. From the shooter's perspective, what better place could he choose to shoot a bunch of people than a gun free zone.
