Vietnamese Man Shoots The Truck Driver Involved in His Daughter's Death
Vĩnh Long, Vietnam A 43-year-old man, Nguyễn V.P., brought a homemade gun to an agricultural supply store seeking the owner, N.V.B.T., aged 33. Nguyễn shot N., then walked to a nearby town, where he shot himself in the head. Both men were taken to hospital in critical condition. Nguyễn's 14-year-old daughter had been run over by a truck driven by N. in September 2024. The teenager was riding an electric bicycle with her friend when she collided with the other bike, fell, and was run over by N., who was on the other lane, overtaking a parked pickup truck. After a provincial review, authorities concluded that the teenager caused the accident by not maintaining a safe distance and not paying attention. However, allegations circled online accusing local police of covering up for N., who is reportedly the nephew of the district police chief. Update: |

Not anymore. Nguyễn V.P. had died from his injuries. N. is still alive, as far as I can tell.

I met a young kid in my life who’d been shot in the head through the left corner of his right eye. The bullet came out of the left side of his head. Doctors saved him and removed part of his brain. I met him in the hospital after my skydiving accident. He was there with his wife who was having a baby. You never can assume anything with gunshot wounds to the head anymore in today’s world of advanced medicine.  |

There was a clip of me coming in with the reserve over my head and my streaming main tagging along the right side of my working canopy. I might still have the actual VHS tape in a box in my storage shed. I just looked at that box and its contents a couple days ago. I no longer have a VCR though. Would be happy to send you the box if you want to try and find it.  The clip is a little distant and all you see is a guy coming in, landing and then nothing.
