A man suspected of robbing a bank in Lackawanna County has been identified by police.

George Slack, 42, of Scranton is now charged with robbery, receiving stolen property and conspiracy to commit bank robbery.


According to court papers, Slack robbed the Fidelity Bank of Birney Avenue on September 15. He got away with more than $800. A witness saw a man get into a waiting car.

Police said thanks to an tip call they identified Slack and the driver of the get-away car, Jason Catalano, 28, of Scranton.

Catalano is charged in connection with the robbery and driving without a license.
