Video From Armed Robbery at Exxon Convenience Store

Garner, N.C. Sept. 27 2008 — The Wake County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying two men they believe have committed a string of armed robberies.

The two men are suspected of committing at least six armed robberies around the county in the past few weeks, said Phyllis Stephens, a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office. In each robbery, they carried handguns.

Investigators believe that the men struck most recently at the White Oak Mart, 7940 White Oak Road in Garner, around 8:20 p.m.

The pair might have also robbed another Garner convenience store on Tuesday night. Garner police have released surveillance video from the robbery of the G-Exxon, 1305 U.S. Highway 70 West.

Police described the robbers in the G-Exxon robbery as Hispanic man. One was between 18 and 25 years old, stood 5 feet 7 or 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighed between 185 and 200 pounds.

The second man was between 26 and 30 years old, stood 5 feet 9 or 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighed between 170 and 180 pounds.
