USA - Guy Attempts To Run Over Off-Duty Cop
"Police say the incident began with B. noticing a man approaching his vehicle at his home near 11th Street SE in Decatur. The man was later identified as 54-year-old G.M.H.. According to Decatur Police, G.M.H. sped away as Brown approached, hitting a car and a mailbox. Then G.M.H. made his first attempt to run over B. before hitting a tree, police say. That’s where the doorbell footage picks up. The video shows B. approach G.M.H. on the driver’s side of the 2012 Jeep Wrangler before G.M.H. backed away out of the yard. At this point, Decatur Police say G.M.H. accelerated toward B. again, as the officer fired at the approaching vehicle. B. was struck by the vehicle and pushed across his yard. The warrant for G.M.H.’s arrest says he then backed up and over B.’s legs. Despite being hit, B., along with a person who witnessed the incident, were able to subdue G.M.H.. Other officers arrived on-scene and were able to place G.M.H. under arrest. Police say B. was taken to Huntsville Hospital on the night of the incident and released later that night."

Re: USA - Guy Attempts To Run Over Off-Duty Cop
that shows how hard it is to hit a subject in a moving car, even for a trained cop. I would have hid behind the tree instead of standing in the middle of the driveway considering the guy's first attempt to run him down.

Re: USA - Guy Attempts To Run Over Off-Duty Cop
Huh Your comment doesn’t make sense. The cop wasn’t the person driving. Sorry. I just don’t understand your comment about it being hard to hit a subject with a moving car even for a trained law enforcement officer when he was the one getting run over.. |
