Two Losers Rob Man in Wheelchair at Atm
Police are appealing for public assistance after a wheelchair-bound man was robbed while making a withdrawal from an ATM in Sydney’s CBD at the weekend. About 11.45am on Sunday (24 May 2020), Julian – who suffers from spastic diplegia (paraplegia) cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair – attended an ATM on George Street at Haymarket. Julian noticed two men waiting in the enclosed alcove area where the machine was situated, who indicated they weren’t using the ATM. While completing transactions, Julian was approached by one of the men, who snatched cash from his hands, before both men fled from the location. They were last seen running north along George Street. =============================== A second man has been arrested while the other is facing court over the alleged robbery of a man in a wheelchair while making a withdrawal from an ATM in Sydney’s CBD at the weekend. Sydney City Police Area Command to appeal to the public for assistance. As a result, a 20-year-old man was arrested at Green Valley Police Station about 3.15pm and charged with steal from person. The Sanctuary Point man was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Wednesday 27 May 2020). Following further inquiries, a 20-year-old Riverwood man was arrested at Campsie Police Station about 9.30am today, where he will be charged. Police would like to thank the community for their assistance with this matter. |
