Tulsa, OK Police Release Deadly Shooting from October
The Tulsa Police Department released body camera videos of a deadly officer-involved shooting in October. Officer D. Jones, Officer C. Riley, and Officer J. McRee were the officers involved in the shooting of L.A.L. All officers have returned to full duty since the shooting. The shooting happened just before 2:30 p.m. Oct. 27 near East Pine Street and North Harvard Avenue. Officers saw a vehicle pulled over with its hazard lights on, so they stopped to see if they could help. "She said she was experiencing problems with her wheels, a lug nut had fallen off. She said her ex-boyfriend had gone to get something to fix it, and he was on his way back," said Sgt. Shane Tuell with the Tulsa Police Department. Police say 50-year-old A.L. was riding a bike back to his ex-girlfriend with a tire iron when they approached him. When police asked him to put the tire iron down, they say he pulled a gun from his side. "He turned his right hip sideways to get his hip away from the officers and began digging at his hip, and that was a key indicator to the officers he may have a weapon, and sure enough, he did," said Tuell.  Initially, police said A.L. had fired the first shot before three officers shot back. However, body cam footage may reveal something different. "But ultimately, when produce a firearm in the manner that he did, it was very threatening. They felt like, at the very minimum, their lives were in danger and [they] had to make that quick decision," said Tuell. A.L. had a felony warrant out for his arrest, and police say the ex-girlfriend did mention it to them, but they didn't get the opportunity to confirm it before police say he pulled the gun out. |

Dumbest move you can make  but with a warrant for suspicion of kidnapping, forcibly sodomy and sexual battery he knew he wouldn't be very popular in jail anyway |
