A Charleston County Sheriff’s Office deputy was released from the hospital Sunday night after being shot during a traffic stop earlier in the day. Deputy Evan Cubbage was hit three times during an exchange of gunfire with the suspect, who was killed. The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the shooting.
