Memphis police are looking for two men who rammed an SUV into a open convenience store and loaded up an ATM.
A clerk at the Mapco, 680 N. Bellevue, told police she was in the store’s cooler Monday about 11:15 p.m. when she heard a crash and saw that a white SUV had backed into the store.
She retreated to the cooler.
Surveillance video showed two men in ski masks loading the ATM, then pulling away in the SUV.
The ATM tumbled from the SUV in the parking lot, and the suspects loaded it back up and left the scene.
Witnesses told police the men drove east on Jackson.
The store was open during the burglary, but the doors were locked for employee safety.
The store serves customers through a walkup window after hours.
Police believe the SUV was a Mercury Mountaineer.
