Teenager Steals (?) Movie Prop Cop Car & Posts Video on Internet

this hit the net today, i cant find any news on it yet though

UPDATE

the following quotes shed some more information on this.

it is a real police car trust me

No it's not, it's a film prop, at the end of the video he says "did you nick it from outside Milnsbridge police station?"

Now read this.

ACTION WHEELS
WEST YORKSHIRE, HD3 4NB HUDDERSFIELD, UNION MILLS, TANYARD ROAD, MILNSBRIDGE.Vehicles in Vision provide action vehicles to the film & television industry. We have an extensive database of action vehicles available. Comprehensive fleet of police vehicles. HGV Specialists.

I live about 500 feet from Milnsbridge so know the story and area pretty well.

Re: Teenager Steals (?) Movie Prop Cop Car & Posts Video on Internet

West Yorkshire Police have carried out an inquiry into the footage and believe no crime has been committed.

The two clips show the men driving a silver Vauxhall Vectra complete with blue lights and siren and decked out with convincing police markings.

Other mentioned:
It does not show the West Yorkshire Police Constabulary logo.
This Vectra is circa 2002 ~ 2005, too old to be used as a current police-squad car.
You can buy the convincing police markings including blue lights and sirens legally.
Also they are on private land so no crime has been commited other than thouse douchbags look stupid.

Re: Teenager Steals (?) Movie Prop Cop Car & Posts Video on Internet

it does look pretty much exactly like newer uk cop cars.
wonder if it's real and the cops didnt even know so are trying to cover it up or wonder if it's just a hoax

I don't know, it might be a cover to prevent the police from looking stupid, but your explanation makes more sense.
