LAWRENCE COUNTY, OH -- The man who is accused of slashing the throat of a Cabell County cab driver has been arrested.
24-year-old William Hale was arrested in West Virginia on fugitive from justice charges. The suspect is accused of slashing the throat of Corky Asbury last week.
Asbury was driving for the Yellow Cab Company and picked up the suspect at a Rome Township gas station near Proctorville, Ohio.
When Asbury refused to take Hale to a Barboursville, West Virginia strip club, Hale is accused of climbing over the seat and stabbing Asbury in the neck.
He allegedly robbed him and fled the scene. If Hale waives extradition, he faces charges of aggravated robbery in Lawrence County, Ohio.
Hale is being held in the Western Regional Jail without bond.
