New Orleans police released surveillance video on Monday afternoon that they hope will lead to a suspect in an early morning shooting and robbery at a Bourbon Street strip club. The footage shows a man walking to the club, shooting a manager and ransacking the office where the manager was working, then leaving the club.

The man entered Little Darlings Strip Club at 411 Bourbon St. just after 5 a.m., police said. The club manager, 30, had let the last employee out of the business, had locked the door and had gone into an office to count the night's receipts.

The man then heard three gunshots hit the office door, and an armed robber kicked in the door. The robber shot the man in the leg and hit him in the back of the head with the gun, knocking him out, police said. When he came to, he discovered the cash he had been counting was missing.

The suspect is described as about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a mask, a dark baseball cap, a black jacket, blue jeans and dark shoes.

He exited through the front door to St. Louis St., then in an unknown direction, police said.

The club manager suffered a non-life threatening wound to his right thigh, police said.

Surveillance footage was obtained both from the club, and from Project NOLA cameras, according to police.

Detective Michael Flores said police are working leads in the case.

Vicious robbery and no need to shoot him in his leg.
Owner really should invest in better quality cams though.
