Skateboarders have worked diligently towards acquiring their own reputation. I don't think that it's one of initiating aggression, but rather one of responding with aggression, or some degree of hostility when approached. I don't think they deserve to be labeled as thugs just because others have labeled them as delinquents. They just generally want to hang out and mess around on their boards. This really should not alarm anyone. The fact that it does is more telling of the one being alarmed. The police are in the position of power, and they often show a need for demonstrating their power in ways other than diplomacy, which might even win them more fans. I don't know what happened here, but I'll bet the cops had a hard-on for ol' Josh and couldn't wait to jump on his butt and taser-hump him 'till he screamed. They even had a confederate in the crowd make 'em a video for their private collection.

It's not that he was skateboarding that got him tasered, it was his non compliance with the police. Don't care what they say comply with them and fight it in court.
