Re: Shot by Police for Holding Wallet
It is a sad world when a law man feels he needs to move that quickly to use deadly force before identifying if the subject indeed held a deadly weapon. I have been in that situation in my younger days when i worked for Uncle Sam. The man had an older style cell phone instead of a gun, but it was dark. I had to make a split second decision. Thank god, he just dropped it right away. |

Re: Shot by Police for Holding Wallet
The way the guy got out, when he put both hands on the wallet and held it out, it did look like he was presenting a firearm. This is one of those shoots that haunt officers, at lease I hope so. |

Re: Shot by Police for Holding Wallet
i'd like to see the minute or so of video before the guy gets out of the vehicle- if it was simply a car collision, why would he be ordered out of the car in the first place? there must have been something like road rage going on, and witnesses calling in, for example, for the cops to be on heightened awareness like that, and to have weapons already drawn. there's more to this story, it is plain to see

Re: Shot by Police for Holding Wallet
It is a shame that the world is that sad. But that is the state of things at this point. The guy acted like a spastic and brought it on himself. Cops have to be careful. Very very careful. |

Re: Shot by Police for Holding Wallet
Who the fuck needs two hands in front of them to hold a fucking wallet? Leave the wallet in the car. Have your hands open, fingers wide. Step out slowly. It's not fucking brain surgery, and it'll prevent you from potentially needing it should a cop put a bullet through your head. |

Re: Shot by Police for Holding Wallet
it looked like he was aiming a gun but seems unintentional because his vehicle was at an angle and getting out of it he fumbled with his wallet, having said that its always a good idea to behave in the same manner as one would if in the presence of a dangerous dog breed..

Re: Shot by Police for Holding Wallet
I've worked law enforcement for over 14 years in some crazy fucking places. I've had guns pulled on me among other things. Always made certain what was in a person's hand before shooting. The definitely has to be more to the story. If it was just as they said, a simple twice accident and he was still shot? Fuckin day bastard needs to be put in jail for assault with a deadly weapon.
