Stupid title to this post. I seriously doubt he was shot for "being black" . I've never seen a video of a black person who was following orders being shot. Just follow orders.

Shot first, ask questions later. Seems like a growing trend among police officers these days. Although I do respect authority and have had my run-ins with the law, myself, I like to think that cops are out to protect those who can't protect themselves. But all this could've been avoided. This guy was just riding his bicycle. Also he didn't go to far when he hopped off his bike. Whether the cop was racist or his paranoia made him believe this guy was pulling a gun out of his pants, I guess will never know. All we know is that all this was unnecessary and could've been avoided. So now this person will never be the same again and this cop is back on the beat, untill justice showed up. So what's the update on this case? I'd like to know.
