The situation was someone kicked a girl out of his apartment, girl goes crazy and pulls a gun, shoots it, cops come, she realizes she is about to go to jail, pulls out gun and takes off running. Is she just trying to get to grandma's house for dinner?

She pulled a gun. She didn’t shoot it. She wasn’t even pointing it at them either. Too bad this country still doesn’t hold cops to the same standard. When a cop pulls a gun and shoots a person running away, they’re lauded as heroes. If a real person shot a cop running away, it would be a crime. See the hypocrisy there?

I get ur point. I'm not 100% on cops shooting someone running away, but I'm also not 100% on letting an armed suspect run away. If she would have ran away, shot someone and stole their car, the cops would have been blamed. Now I understand that scenario in this situation probably wouldn't have happened, but it has happened many times before. What exactly is a cop supposed to do?

Well I mean what do tasers exist for? Are they nothing but a fashion accessory now? These days it’s like cops merely carry them as a formality rather than as their primary first defense. It used to be that deadly force was only supposed to be used as a last resort. Nowadays it’s like immediate deadly force is just expected right off the bat. That’s the problem.

yep, the cop should have waited for her to shoot him dead before firing at her  here is a tip - don't pull a gun out near cops, and they are very unlikely to shoot you  |

It’s a sheltered fantasy just to expect cops to not kill you instead of trying to de-escalate a situation rather than running around being a bunch of trigger happy morons? I mean I know we’ve pretty much reached that point now, but that’s pretty fucking pathetic as a country lol!! |
