On March 19, 2023, Kayla Guitare, 28, called 911 in Marshfield, Wisconsin, asked for an officer and refused to explain why. The police account released with the body-camera footage said officers traced her cellphone and went to her residence after a man could be heard shouting in the background.

Guitare answered the door after repeated knocking. She said she had to go to work and told officers nobody else was inside. Her boyfriend then came out believing she was being harmed, shouting and raising his fists. Officers tased him and took him into custody. Guitare was placed in a squad car, remained uncooperative and was arrested. She was charged with resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. The footage later circulated widely online under the nickname "Shakira Flabbergasted."

Guitare pleaded no contest to resisting or obstructing an officer and was found guilty. The disorderly conduct count was dismissed and read in. A 30-day jail term was imposed and stayed, and she was placed on two years' probation and ordered to pay $443 in court costs. The case closed in June 2025.

I had a tenant many years ago who behaved similarly. Whenever faced with challenging situations or things not her way she would begin to yell and scream and make nonsensical arguments. She obviously learned through experience that the more hysterical she became the more likely people were to just back down so that they could get out of the situation and she would get her way.
I eventually got her evicted for failing to pay the rent but it involved trips to the county and state Superior Court and having her forcibly removed by the police department. And no bullshit her name was Karen.
