POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- Police are searching for a man who they said robbed 7 Broward County businesses.
A man robbed the Advance America cash advance store in the 2600 block of West Atlantic Boulevard in Pompano Beach on August 29, 2008.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said the man, with a mask on and a gun in his hand, demanded money from an employee and then ran away.
Police who looked at surveillance video of the crime realized that the robber was the same man who had robbed 6 other cash advance stores in Broward County.
BSO said in several of the robberies, the robber had told the victims he was a previous employee of Advance America.
The robber's face was caught on camera inside a store he robbed in Deerfield Beach on May 12 when he removed his mask as he was leaving the location.
BSO said the robber is a black man who is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. He wore a light brown denim jacket and blue jeans.
