Well, you aren't speaking from experience, I AM. Students should have a proper fear of all adults like they use to, not just the parents.

I don't know how whites do it but back in the day, when a child did something wrong, black elders in the neighborhood whooped children if there parents weren't around and told the parents what they had done when the parents returned. The parents didn't get upset but infact gave the child another whooping, because after all, they are the parent. There's really no other way to train a child. Now this type of punishment has been outlawed in schools and we see the results, don't we?

there are much better ways to train a child. i don't spank my kids (they are 15 months and 26 months old) and they say please and thank you, don't talk back often and follow directions. Children don't need to feel fear, especially not for their parents. you can teach a child to be respectful of adults by teaching respect through love.

You're another nutcase if you really believe that works for everyone. Hell, you can't even talk to adults and expect them to do as they're told so do I really need to go further with this issue? Kids need beatings, often. Also, I didn't say anything about fear, I said a proper fear-BIG difference.
