The video includes 911 and dispatch audio, body-worn camera footage, and surveillance footage from an officer-involved shooting on January 27, 2025.

At about 4:56 p.m., uniformed San Francisco police officers responded to the area of Mission and 9th Streets for a shooting. Officers found an adult male victim with apparent gunshot wounds being treated by paramedics. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers received information that a suspect might be in a nearby building. They set up a perimeter and used additional SFPD resources, including Specialist, Tactical, and Hostage Negotiation teams. The suspect did not comply and refused to exit the building.

During that contact, an officer-involved shooting occurred. Officers entered the building and found the suspect suffering from life-threatening injuries. Officers and paramedics rendered aid, but the suspect was pronounced dead.

A firearm was recovered at the scene. The incident remained under investigation by the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, SFPD Investigative Services Division, Chief Medical Examiner's Office, SFPD Internal Affairs Division, and the Department of Police Accountability.
