Road Rage Guy Incident in Chattanooga Pleads Guilty in Court
A Chattanooga man has pleaded guilty after he was caught on camera during a road rage incident. Michael Wayne Harvey pleaded guilty to two counts of civil misdemeanor assault in Hamilton County Criminal Court Wednesday morning. Harvey was indicted on several more charges, including 2 counts of assault, vandalism and disorderly conduct. Back in August 2022, the victim told police that Harvey followed her as she was driving with her son on Highway 27. She says she exited the highway and pulled into a friend's driveway because she knew they had security cameras. Those cameras show Harvey confronting her in a parking lot while holding a gun, claiming she had cut him off. The video shows Harvey then ripping the door handle off the woman's car and throwing it. At the time, the woman told us on the phone that Harvey then made a gun motion with his hand, pointed it at her and insinuated that he was going to shoot them. The woman then posted the video on Facebook, where it went viral. A couple of weeks later, Harvey's family convinced him to turn himself in. Harvey will learn his sentence on March 18th. |
