RI State Trooper Being a Dick

This is one of the reasons why I can't stand cops. The bikers weren't doing anything wrong, not tailgating, not speeding. Yet the officer threatens their lives by saying he will reverse into them

Re: RI State Trooper Being a Dick

I tried to hear, but I really couldn't make out what he was saying. Maybe he was telling all those fat assed bikers about Jenny Craig? He should have known better...every biker I see now days has a camera on his head.

If you turn the volume up you can hear him saying something about them getting to close his car(which they weren't)

Re: RI State Trooper Being a Dick

Cops have a special hate towards any biker for some weird reason. Badass bikers nonetheless.

I never minded motorcycles unless they were in large groups or were members/associates of a motorcycle gang. Of course when I worked patrol way back in the eighties, we didn't have a lot of groups of motorcycles unless they were outlaw gangs. God, we used to just terrorize outlaw bikers and always made them a special priority...especially if they were wearing their colors. Ah, those were the days...almost makes me tear up a little. As far as packs of motorcycle riders...I think it's the noise and potential for trouble. We have tons of these groups innthe Los Angeles area riding racing bikes that close streets, freeways, and generally cause trouble. I can see why they deserve extra attention. Clearly, the young copper in the video...if he said what you're saying he said, made a tactical mistake and looked silly. He should have just pulled over, let the group pass, and followed them through town. If they were a problem, then start citing. They didn't look too tough or menacing so following them at a distance would have been better and less stupid looking.

I could understand that groups cause more attention sure, but the cop was a complete dick. These guys are not flying any colors and they're obeying traffic laws.

You are correct as far as the video shows. I'll take you guy's word for what the officer said because I can't hear it, but I'm not going to argue it...he said something stupid. As far as we know the bikers did nothing wrong. That's why I said that he should have just pulled over and followed them at a distance. He was a young copper and very likely not very experienced with such a large group of bikes. Now had those guys been outlaws...they would've pushed that young officer until he did something really stupid and probably would've killed him. If he couldn't handle those fat weekend riders, he sure as shit couldn't have handled real bikers.
