Police Settle $75,000 Force Suit Over 2014 Arrest in Kansas City, Missouri
Kansas City, Missouri, police settled an excessive-force lawsuit for $75,000 following a man's arrest on a highway shoulder in May 2014. Police dash-camera footage shows officers pulling him from a white sedan and holding him on the pavement. Police said the man ignored commands and had to be forced from the car. His lawsuit challenged the force used during the arrest. The settlement had been reached by December 2016. |
