Police Officer Shoots Alleged Domestic Abuser in Leg
El Monte, Chile. A man was arrested on Saturday morning after being charged with domestic violence and attempting to attack a police officer with a cement block. The moment of the arrest was captured on video that shows the moment a police officer shot him in the leg. According to information provided by Chilean police, the incident took place in the commune of El Monte at 10:40 am. Uniformed officers from the 23rd police station in Talagante arrived at the scene, where they found the man who had started throwing stones at the police. After speaking, he walked away from the police and grabbed a cement block. Then, when he raised his arm, clearly with the intention of throwing it, the officer shot him in the left leg, at knee level. As a result, an ambulance was called and the accused was taken to the Cesfam in El Monte. |
