Why the did they not drive a police car into the car and push it out the way of the lorry. Fuck the criminals but why let the lorry burn? Was it wedged too tight? |

Crazy. This was less than 3 miles from my house and we heard it all go down while in the back yard with a bon fire. That's highway 316 that he they were attempting to cross over when it happened. Most vehicles are going a minimum of 65 on that road, but generally 75-80. There have been a lot of deaths on this road and they are trying to convert intersections into bridged on/off ramps. It is the major road connecting Atlanta and Athens Georgia. It was two white younger people, a guy driving and a girl, apparently had issues with drugs, I believe they graduated (or attempted to) from a high school in barrow county, which is half way between Atlanta and Athens. The neighborhood was having a lot of issues with crime at night so they hired a security officer.  |
