Ormond Beach --
One of two female passengers in the sport utility vehicle that nearly ran into a pair of Ormond Beach motorcycle officers Wednesday has died.

Jodi Fleisher, 39, of Daytona Beach, died Wednesday night at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, hospital spokeswoman Salina Wang said.

The driver of the 2001 Chevy Blazer sport utility vehicle, David Munn, 34, of Daytona Beach was declared dead at the scene.

Munn had led police on a high-speed lunch-hour chase through three cities before crashing head-on with another vehicle on U.S. Highway 1 just north of Reed Canal Road in South Daytona, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Three other passengers in the vehicle were also seriously injured and taken to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach.

Leslie Hardin, 27, of Edgewater and Jason Myerschough, 34, of Ormond Beach were listed in serious but stable condition. Anthony Traficonte, 38, of Daytona Beach was listed as stable.

None were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Miller said no charges were pending against any of the passengers.

Two people in the other vehicle, Wesley Bagwell, 36, and Roy Ables, 38, both of Holly Hill, were taken to Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial. Bagwell was treated and released Wednesday and Ables was in stable condition, a hospital spokesperson said.

Miller said the sport utility vehicle, which South Daytona police had initially said was stolen, had in fact been "borrowed but not returned" to the owner, who had not officially reported the vehicle stolen.

I would rather see him as a quad with no compensation or insurance, but dead works. Too bad the other woman got killed with him.
