Police arrested a man carrying a machete and multiple knives at Cleveland Hopkins Airport on July 8 after he fled officers and moved toward travelers with a knife in hand.

Officers approached Sameer Farraj, 37, near the north security checkpoint over the machete. He claimed open-carry rights and revealed more knives when he stood. Farraj ignored orders to turn around, ran into a bystander and fled. Officers used Tasers, but his clothing prevented them from working. Farraj jumped a wall behind an airline ticket counter and refused commands to lie down.

Interesting how they had their taser’s out rather than having their pistol’s drawn. They didn’t want to shoot him publicly in front of all those bystanders.
